How to Link to Other Websites

When making a website or even a social network page, creating links to other sites shares interests and activities and also informs and educates the intended audience. The largest websites and social network sites get paid to create links, with the large readership guaranteeing significant traffic. There is a wealth of opportunity with link exchanges.
First: Decide if the link is appropriate
If the website has a customer base made up of families, posting a link that sends readers to a website full of intimate novelties is probably not the best idea. Concurrently, sending a motorcycle club a link with baby products might have the same effect. Always keep the target audience in mind.
Second: Get permission
Although many people forget to do this, an author needs permission from a website to create a direct link. This is good manners but also rides the edge of intellectual property rights and infringement; 99 percent of the time, a website manager says yes.
Third: Create the link
Creating the link is usually the easiest part. The simplest method is by typing the web address. Most word processing and webpage programs automatically create links when the full address is typed, even without the "www." If looking for something more original, simply highlight the word, sentence, symbol or button, go to the top toolbar and click "Create link." Another box appears asking where the user would like to send the browser once the link is clicked. Type in the new web address and bingo, it is done. Now the link is made.
